The colors of FUN!

Hello and happy belated Spring greetings!

It has been awhile since I have posted but school and work has been eating up my time. However my mood is happy and excited. Other than allergies putting a downer on sunny days I am so excited for the spring bright hues. A haul for my spring items is coming soon, however I will leave you with an awesome spread I found on Fashion Gone Rogue. I love the personality of model Daphne Groeneveld and the color of this spread. Enjoy!

Lipsticks, Lip Stains, Lip Butters Oh My!

I have had plenty of tired days since the beginning of this spring semester. All nighters meant dark circles the next morning. To give my look a more lively feel I would play around with lip color more than eye shadows. It is an easy go to when your in a rush in the morning. Some eyeliner, mascara and a nice lip shade takes less than ten minutes and I'm out the door. Fashionable and on time? This is why I love make up!

Maybelline Color Whisper
Mocha Muse

This is a nude shade that is not too washed out. Great for a natural neutral look!

LÓRÉAL Color Riche Caresse Wet Shine Stain
Left- Coral Tatto    Right- Eternally Nude

These lip stains are so hydrating and not sticky. They are extremely long lasting, two coats and your good for the day. One is a bright color color and the other is a night nude shade with a tint of pink.

MAC
Matte- Russian Red  Satin- Rebel
I love these two shades for the winter. For days that I would have an evening event I would keep these in my bags because they are great with any look. The red is a little bright but not too over powering and I love the plum berry color because you can layer the color to make it more intense. Also both colors make your teeth look whiter so it's a plus!

Swatches Top to Bottom
Loreal Eternally Nude
Loreal Coral Tatto

Fabulous Hair means Careful Care

Hello Loves!
It has been a long while since I have last posted. With school and work my plate has been full. I have been shopping around so another haul is coming soon. Lately, I have been focusing on growing out my hair. Some of you may know that it takes a great amount of effort to grow your hair long and keep it healthy at the same time. Well I may have just found the routine for me. Below are some products that I have been using the past six months. My hair used to be dry and very light weight, however with careful care I have been able to successfully grow my hair in a healthy manner. Enjoy! Also remember to subscribe!

My dream team products:
MoroccanOil Treatment
I apply this when my hair is slightly dry. Always apply to your ends and work your way up to avoid greasy roots. This Product worked wonders on my hair and my ends feel so smooth and the smell is beyond yummy! One pump goes a very long way.
It's a 10: Miracle leave in product
This is a leave in conditioner I apply after the oil. Once again I start from the root and work my way out. I use this to tame my hair from frizziness and it also has heat protectant incase I use hot tools on my hair later in the day. This does not grease my hair so it is safe to use a decent amount of it. Smell sooo good!

MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream
I only use this product when I blow dry my hair. I first apply one pump of the Oil and then one pump of this and work it through my hair. The outcome after blowdrying is fuller and thicker looking hair, and not to mention the shine as well. This smells equally as great and makes my hair look very healthy. When I use this product I do not use the It's a 10 leave in conditioner.
Tresemmé Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave In Spray
Since I am growing my hair long, I am very careful to protect my ends from any damage. Whether I blow dry my hair of use any hot tools at all I ALWAYS use a heat protectant. The amount of heat we use to style our hair can damage the ends causing split ends. This is by far the best product and very inexpensive. I would chose this over any high end product to protect me hair. I use this after I used all my other products.
Loréal Elnett Satin Hairspray (Unscented Extra Strong Hold)
This product is not part of my every day routine. I try to minimize the amount of gel, mousse or hair spray I use however this is my go to hair spray when I curl my hair or have a special occasion to attend. This gives strong hold without causing any product buildup. I can still run my fingers through my hair without it being stiff. The fact that it is unscented is great because I find the smell of many hair sprays too strong.

I hope this helps for anyone also trying to take proper care of their hair. I would love to read what you all use as well because I love to try new products!

Lilacism

Can it get any colder in NYC? Well, I hope not. It is beyond freezing however this gives me the chance to stay home cuddled up in bed and watch my favorite movies. Lately I started watching the show Scandal which is really addicting and Kerry Washington is a great strong lead. Aside from staying in and watching movies I decided to do my nails as well. I took a change from the dark toned colors and went for something more pastel. What do you all do on a cold day in?  Follow and leave a comment below. Stay warm and safe loves!

Lilacism By Essie
It is like a very light blue and lilac color, it really depends on the light reflection on the color.

Sally Hansen 4 in 1 Complete Care
This base and top coat is one of the best. It is really inexpensive gives great shine as a top coat.

Comfortably Casual- Inspiration

Hmm...Where to begin? So far this week has been insane and it is only Wednesday. Since we have been getting a few warm days in NYC I took advantage of that and took out my flats rather than my usual boots. I am a tad bit sick with a few sniffles here and there but it is nothing good old vitamin C and green tea can't take care off. When I'm sick all I want to do is dress in comfort clothes which is why I love the spread I am about to share with you lovelies. Kate Upton looks great with the casual outfits. Some of her outfits gave me ideas to pair oversized sweaters and Graphic tees with a nice statement necklace with a casual pair of booties or basic colored heels. First outfit post soon? How would you guys dress up a casual piece of clothing? Follow and leave a comment below :) Enjoy and stay warm!
